Shamanic world views and practices appear all over the world. They are often reflected in Celtic traditions and act as inspirations for contemporary artists of any heritage. These perspectives can enhance the natural connection between the head and the heart, the individual and the universe, enhance a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives, and give new passion and expression to our art

The ancient Celts were intimately connected to all of Nature. The energy of this connection informed their lives and inspired their art. By taking time to tour and connect with the Earth energies, contemporary artists of any level and heritage, shall have the opportunity to become inspired by the power sites of the Gower, as were its early inhabitants. . We will get underneath the surface of these sites by using ancient techniques that awaken all our senses. In so doing, we will be able to discern underlying energies and movements that reside in such places, and then we will explore ways of expressing our discoveries in the medium and style of our choice. Come discover for yourself what we can perceive and what we can express

Dr Julianna Switaj was born in South Wales and now lives in Guelph Ontario, Canada, coming from from a lineage of traditional healers. She will speak on the Celtic shamanic experience.
